Precision Medical Products Appoints Ingel as President, CEO

Carrollton-based Precision Medical Products has appointed Steven Ingel as president and CEO succeeding and Jeremy Perkins, who will remain with the company and assume the role of executive chairman of the board.

Perkins will identify strategies, business opportunities, and new technology architectures to grow Precision Medical Products, the company said in a statement.

Ingel has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare sector. Most recently, he was president of Footcare Solutions and National Accounts for Enovis, formerly DJO Global.

Previously, Ingel held various executive and divisional leadership roles spanning multiple disciplines including sales, marketing, R&D, operations, and digital health solutions during his 28-year tenure at DJO Global.

Trinity Groves Restaurant Group Names Rodarte as New CEO

The Trinity Groves Restaurant Group announced that Julian Rodarte is its new CEO, succeeding noted restaurateur Phil Romano in the post.

Rodarte is the co-owner of Beto & Son, a “next-generation Mexican food” restaurant at Trinity Groves—the restaurant incubator destination on the west side of Dallas’ Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.  

“[Romano’s] confidence in me catapulted my career,” Rodarte said in a statement. “I’m excited to take the baton and further the vision for West Dallas, as well as implement my ‘Next-Gen Twist’ on the new restaurants that I will be opening at Trinity Groves.”

Romano gave Rodarte his stamp of approval, adding that the young chef has the “creativity to create exciting and unique concepts that better cater to today’s generation.”


Interior Finishes Provider ADG Selects Margolius as CEO

Steve Margolius has been named CEO of Dallas-based Artisan Design Group, a provider of interior finishes to the single-family and multifamily industry on a national scale.

Last year, the company’s revenue was $878 million and has grown 136% between 2018 and 2020.

Margolius brings more than 30 years of operational and financial leadership experience in distribution, fabrication, installation services, and manufacturing gained while serving in executive leadership roles at Distribution International, HD Supply, Arrow Electronics and GE, the company said in a statement. Most recently, he was CEO and a board member of DI and has held those positions since June 2017.


Global Medical Device Company Names President

Lewisville-based Orthofix Medical Inc., a global medical device company with a spine and orthopedics focus announced that Kimberley Elting, currently chief legal and development officer, will become president of the global orthopedics business effective today.

She succeeds Paul Gonsalves, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

“With more than 25 years in the medical device space, a track record of success at Orthofix, and a demonstrated passion for our Orthopedics business, Kim will bring strong leadership and meaningful perspective to this business,” Orthofix President and CEO Jon Serbousek said in a statement. “We have made significant investments to build the Orthopedics Business unit and we feel confident that she is the right person to lead this team to continue to drive growth in this sector of our business.”

The company said that Elting joined its leadership team as chief legal officer in 2016, was named chief legal and administrative officer in 2017, and chief legal department officer in 2020.


Trammell Crow Co. Names Director of Sustainability

Dallas-based commercial real estate developer Trammell Crow Co. announced that James Murray-Coleman has been appointed as its director of sustainability, focusing on developing and implementing a sustainability strategy for the company.

“The Director of Sustainability role is a key milestone for TCC on our journey to be the leader in sustainable development,” TCC Chief Operating Officer Adam Weers said in a statement. “James is a perfect fit for this position, as he has a deep understanding of sustainable building design and construction. He has acted as a sustainability adviser on a number of our projects over the years and is a skilled and thoughtful developer whose partnership continues to drive our business forward.”

In his new role, Murray-Coleman will serve as the leader for the company’s sustainability efforts globally, including the activation of TCC’s recently announced partnership with Altus Power. He will be responsible for several important initiatives, including:

Bailey to Lead Prosperity Capital Mortgage

Alliant Systems Owner and President Retires on Firm’s Acquisition by HRFH

Jeff Belcher has retired as owner and president of Irving-based Alliant Systems, the company announced. His retirement comes after 37 years with the company and predecessor organizations.

Alliant Systems also announced it has sold the company to HRFH (Herrera Rodriguez Family Holdings), a private Texas corporation owned by Mayron Herrera and Jhovanny Rodriguez.

The company said that under Belcher’s leadership, Alliant Systems has grown to become the largest supplier of route accounting and mobile computing software solutions to independent textile rental companies.

The company said that Alliant Systems will continue to operate under the same name as a wholly owned subsidiary of HRFH, which also operates an IT services company (Synetek Solutions) and a cloud-based VoIP service (GreenLink Networks).


Buff City Soap Adds Ramirez to C-Suite

Dallas-based Buff City Soap announced that Enrique Ramirez has joined the company as chief financial officer and president of international.

Buff City Soap, founded in 2013, is a plant-based home and personal care brand franchise that has experienced rapid expansion and opened its 200th Soap Makery.

“Enrique joins us with 20+ years leading multi-unit and franchise businesses across the US, Europe, Latin America, and Asia that includes Pizza Hut and FedEx Office,” Buff City CEO Craig Kessler said in a statement.

Buff City said that has experienced rapid growth as consumers have been drawn to its differentiated, high-quality offering of plant-based soaps, laundry, bath and body products, which are handmade daily in each store’s Soap Makery.

The company said that it has more than quadrupled in size since 2020 to more than 200 locations in more than 25 states and has significant expansion plans underway.


Nanoscope Names Osborne Chief Medical Officer, Chief Development Officer

Bedford-based Nanoscope Therapeutics Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing gene therapies for retinal diseases, has appointed Aaron Osborne, MBBS, as chief medical officer and chief development officer.

The company said he joins recent hires Anil Lalwani, MS, MBA, vice president of CMC and Margolius quality, and Jared Stephens, Ph.D, vice president of strategy and BD.

 “They will play integral roles in developing our optogenetic gene therapies to restore vision in millions of people blinded by retinal diseases,” CEO Sulagna Bhattacharya said.

Osborne has over 20 years’ experience in ophthalmology and most recently, he was chief medical officer at Adverum. Previously, he held clinical development and medical affairs roles of increasing responsibility at Genentech, Alcon, Novartis and Bayer.  


Frisco-based EverAg Names Borman Chief Product Officer

Mike Borman has been appointed chief product officer at Chicago-based EverAg, a newly formed company that was created in February by the merger of Frisco-based Dairy.com and Tennessee-based software solutions business EFC Systems.

EverAg is a supply chain management company focused on the agriculture, food, and beverage industries.

The new company, which also provides risk management and market intelligence solutions, is based in Frisco and headed by Dairy.com CEO Scott Sexton, whose former company INC2Inc Technologies merged with Dairy.com in 2000, after Dairy.com was formed with a $19 million investment from names like Kraft Foods and Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream.

Harver, the provider of volume hiring technology that has an office in Dallas, announced two management appointments: Rick Custodio as chief financial officer and Laura Stanley as chief people officer.

The global company said that Custodio and Stanley round out its executive leadership team as Harver looks to execute ambitious growth plans that will transform the volume hiring market.

The company said Custodio joins Harver from Sectigo, where he was chief financial officer and helped scale the organization, driving top and bottom-line growth that led to a successful exit and sale to a private equity firm in 2020 and record revenue growth in 2021.

Stanley brings more than 20 years of experience leading global talent management and human resources strategy to Harver. In her role as chief people officer, Stanley will be responsible for leading Harver’s human capital strategy, as well as building and refining the values-based culture to ensure a best-in-class employee experience for employees across the globe.

United Way of Metropolitan Dallas has hired Rob Shearer as its chief communications officer, culminating an extensive search including a diverse field of more than 40 candidates.

Shearer comes to the United Way from Dallas-based education nonprofit Commit Partnership where he served five years as the senior director of communications and built and led a world-class team responsible for setting communications strategy that created measurable impact with key audiences including the Texas State Legislature,.

Carmen Wasserman has been named chief legal counsel for Le-Vel, a Frisco-based innovator in nutrition and skincare.

She brings 27 years of experience to her new position, the company said in a statement. Her experience includes advising startups up to billion-dollar companies on how to navigate myriad laws and regulations around the world.

Stream Realty Partners Hires Biggs as EVP in Dallas Office

Dallas-based Stream Realty Partners announced that it has recruited Greg Biggs, a 32-year veteran of Dallas commercial real estate, as executive vice president in its Dallas office where he will reunite with three former colleagues.

He will be responsible for expanding Stream’s office tenant representation business in Dallas-Fort Worth. The company said that Biggs’ expertise covers structuring complex build-to-suits, lease negotiations, acquisitions, and dispositions for office properties. Previously, he served as a director of development for Dallas-based Cawley Partners.

Stream Realty Partners is a full-service commercial real estate firm with integrated offerings in leasing, property management, tenant representation, development, construction management, investment sales, and investment management services.

Gov. Abbott Appoints Dallas Investor, Others to Advisory Council

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has appointed Peter Marocco of Dallas to the Advisory Council on Emergency Medical Services, known as GETAC, for a term set to expire on Jan. 1, 2026.

He also appointed Billy “Scott” Lail of Glen Rose, Daniel “Danny” Ramirez of San Juan and Katherine “Kate” Remick, M.D. of Austin and reappointed Jeffery “Jeff” Barnhart of Canyon, Ruben A. Martinez of Concepcion, and Ryan Matthews of Holliday for terms set to expire on Jan.1, 2028.

The council recommends changes to the EMS/Trauma System to ensure that communities receive comprehensive and efficient emergency care.

Marocco is an investor and the managing director of Endstate Strategies LLC. He is a Club for Growth Foundation fellow and serves on the advisory board for the Foreign Policy Research Institute.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is among a group of seven elite professional athletes who are investors and have been named to Florida-based RealTruck’s first-ever advisory team.

RealTruck is an online destination retailer of U.S.-made aftermarket truck parts and accessories.

Akdamar will Lead Texas Hospital Association Board

Medical City Healthcare President Erol Akdamar was named 2022 Board of Trustees Chair by the Texas Hospital Association.

The roll plays a significant role in hospital advocacy at the state and federal level, the association said in a statement.

Akdamar said he plans to push for increased access to quality healthcare and increase funding and resources. He has served in several leadership roles at THA over the past decade and led the search committee that found THA’s new president and CEO John Hawkins.

Eosera graduates from TechFW; CEO will Join its Board

Fort Worth-based Eosera, a female-led biotechnology company specializing in innovative ear care products has graduated from TechFW’s programming and co-founder Elyse Dickerson has accepted an invitation to join the nonprofit’s Board of Directors, the firm announced.

Dickerson co-founded Eosera in 2015 along with CSO Joe Griffin, Ph.D.

Richardson-based network solutions provider Mavenir has appointed Erin Mullin Nelson as an independent member of its board of directors.

Colletti Named Managing Director at Silicon Valley Bank

Williams Joins Mohr Partners’ Dallas Office

Irving Mobile App Company Names Head of Global Marketing

The app is available for stores in Android and iOS applications. In January, it announced that it secured $8.5 million in Series A funding from Five Elms Capital to advance its next generation no-code/low-code m-commerce platform.

Balasingh has 12 years of experience in digital, SaaS, and marketing. Her prior experience includes heading the marketing function at Redington India and heading the global tech partnerships marketing for Freshworks. She has presented at various global industry forums and is an active speaker for industry events and academic institutions, the company said in a statement. Balasingh has been named to various women’s leadership lists in Asia.

Vajro’s platform enables Shopify stores to build native mobile apps in under 60 minutes, without writing a single line of code, the company said. Vajro plans to open up its MADP for WooCommerce and Magento in the future, the company said. It is the first mobile app builder to launch live video commerce features and is currently the only mobile app builder to offer this feature.

World Economic Forum Adds Allred to Young Global Leaders Class

U.S. Rep. Colin Allred of Plano has been named to the World Economic Forum Young Global Leaders Class of 2022 — the only member of the U.S. House of Representatives who is a part of this year’s class.

Allred, a Democrat, represents District 32 in North Texas.

The 2022 class includes 109 young leaders from around the globe who are leading efforts critical to our common global success, from tackling COVID-19, climate change, and global poverty, to working to secure democracies and promote peace on the international stage.

“The challenges we face around the world are great, but so is our potential,” Allred said in a statement. “In a time of rising nationalism and authoritarianism, it is more important than ever that a new generation of leadership step forward around the world to recommit our nations to the foundational principles of self-determination, individual liberty, and shared economic prosperity.”
