MODE Global acquires RR&F Logistics

Dallas-based logistics and transportation provider MODE Global has completed its acquisition of RR&F Logistics, one of the nation’s leading third-party logistics providers.

With the acquisition, MODE Global will now facilitate more than 1.5 million annual customer shipments, generating almost $3 billion of revenue. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Based in New Jersey, RR&F is an agent of SUNTECKtts, a multi–modal transportation solutions provider. RR&F offers full-service transportation services throughout North America.

“RR&F’s knowledge in the transportation market will continue to enhance MODE Global’s service offerings,” said Lance Malesh, MODE’s CEO & president, in a statement. “The acquisition allows us to continue the build out of our operational capabilities to support our strong network of customers and agents.”

MODE Global has relationships with more than 75,000 carriers, operating from over 230 offices throughout North America. Its capabilities across all major modes of transportation include truckload, less-than-truckload, rail intermodal, drayage, air, ocean, and parcel freight.

MODE says it will leverage its increased scale and resources to continue investing in technology and innovation.

Irving’s Twenty20 Solutions merges with Skyhawk

Irving-based Twenty20 Solutions, a provider of security and automation services for critical infrastructure and remote environments, has merged with Skyhawk—an on-grid tech provider of solutions in security, managed services, and surveillance.

The combined companies will deliver a comprehensive solution for on-grid and off-grid security and access requirements across a range of industries from utilities to oil and gas, agriculture, education, and healthcare. Their all-in-one security solutions can be applied to equipment, service, monitor, and support environments.

“Together Twenty20 Solutions and Skyhawk offer the industry’s most powerful technology platform enabled by AI, leading-edge software solutions, and business intelligence,” said Dan Vertachnik, CEO of Twenty20 Solutions, in a statement.

“Our platform gives customers immediate insight into their operations for real-time detection and response,” he added. “This merger allows clients to partner with one provider for a complete end-to-end smart security and automation solution for both their corporate offices and buildings, as well as their remote operations and facilities.”

The headquarters of the combined companies will be Twenty20 Solutions’ corporate office in Irving. Other offices are located in Houston, Midland, Baton Rouge, LA., and Bakersfield, CA.

Integrity Marketing Acquires Star Benefit Associates

Dallas-based Integrity Marketing Group, America’s largest independent distributor of life and health insurance, has expanded its Medicare offerings in the Midwest with a new acquisition.

Integrity has acquired Star Benefit Associates, a fast-growing field marketing organization based in Indianapolis, Indiana. As part of the acquisition, Pam Evans, president of Star Benefit Associates, will become a managing partner in Integrity.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

“Star Benefit Associates is well respected for their expertise in Medicare Advantage and has built a reputation for always putting people first,” said Bryan W. Adams, co-founder and CEO of Integrity, in a statement.

Adams says Star Benefit will benefit from Integrity’s centralized back-office functions, including accounting, IT, human resources, legal, and compliance, allowing Star Benefit to focus on growth opportunities.

Star Benefit Associates is one of Indiana’s leading experts on Medicare Advantage. It actually helped launch the pilot program in 2002. The boutique agency focuses on relationship-building as it guides agents through the complexities of the senior market.

With an all-female ownership and staff, Star Benefit serves hundreds of agents in the Indiana market, meeting the insurance needs of more than 10,000 Americans annually.
