IT Consulting Firm Rebrands as CG Infinity, Plans New Plano HQ

Plano-based Cyber Group is rebranding as CG Infinity and expanding its offerings beyond its core energy and financial client base. To advance its growth, CG Infinity plans to purchase a new 33,000-square-foot HQ in Plano, where it will operate an innovation lab.

Founded in 1998 by a longtime Texas Instruments engineering manager, CG Infinity aims to be "the most sought-after Salesforce partner for mid-sized companies."

Plano-based IT consulting company Cyber Group is rebranding itself as CG Infinity—and making moves toward expanded offerings and growth, including a new HQ.

The rebrand reflects the company’s goal of expanding beyond its core client base of energy and financial companies to become “the most sought-after Salesforce partner for mid-sized companies.”

“In today’s environment, we believe all businesses are tech businesses,” said the company’s president, Saurajit Kanungo, in a statement.

“In tech, change is constant,”  Jim Smelley, author at CG Infinity, added to explain the name change. “Every year, we move beyond what we were able to do just the year before. And like the environment we work in, Cyber Group is also changing and moving beyond what we were. Our new name, CG Infinity, respects where we’ve come from while reaching out toward a boundless future for our team and clients.”

Plans new 33,000-SF HQ, innovation lab in Plano

To help achieve its growth objectives, CG Infinity plans to add more jobs and purchase a 33,000-square-foot “state-of-the-art” facility for its headquarters in Plano, where customers and the CG team members can conduct an “innovation lab on what technology can do for their businesses,” said Mike Rochelle, VP of cultural growth, in a statement.

In addition to its headquarters in Plano, CG Infinity has offices in Houston, Albuquerque, Little Rock, and New Delhi, India.

The company was founded in 1998 by CEO Bhopi Dhall after he’d spent 28 years at Texas Instruments, culminating in his role as engineering manager. Its rebrand as CG Infinity coincides with a “refocused and aggressive expansion” into energy, utilities, and financial services verticals, the company said.

“Salesforce has highly verticalized offerings, including the Energy and Utilities Cloud and Financial Services Cloud,” said Jonathan Goldstein, CG’s SVP of energy and utilities services, said in the statement. “We want to be known as the best Energy and Utilities Cloud and Financial Services Cloud implementer.”

On DMN’s 100 Best Places to Work list

CG Infinity—which has placed No. 30 among small companies on the Dallas Morning News list of the 100 Best Places to Work—says it has one of the highest employee retention rates within its market, with consultants working in small, blended, diverse teams, each led by a department VP.

The company has also been recognized by the Communities Foundation of Texas’s “Be In Good Company” program, and says it plans to continue to be an integral contributor and partner in the community.

“Our company has a commitment to giving back. Whether working with local organizations like DFW Alliance of Technology and Women or coordinating blood drives overseas, giving back is at our core” said Brad Darby, the company’s director of brand marketing.

Worked with Chart+Foster on rebrand

CG Infinity worked with Rhode Island-based brand advisory firm Chart+Foster Co on the rebrand.

“Their culture is special,” the branding firm’s founder and CEO Eric Arcacha said in the statement. “They also excel at humanizing an historically cold industry.”
