Techstars Startup Weekend Dallas Returns: A Dive into Emerging Tech for Diverse Entrepreneurs

The DEC Network is returning Techstars Startup Weekend to Dallas for an immersive three-day program on April 21 to 23.

The DEC Network is excited to host the Dallas return of Techstars Startup Weekend, a three-day program that immerses aspiring entrepreneurs in the world of startups. More seasoned founders can connect with other creators and improve their knowledge.

The program kicks off on Friday, April 21, and runs through Sunday, April 23, at VariSpace Las Colinas.

Techstars Startup Weekend Dallas is an opportunity to “learn how to think, work, and build like a startup in just 54 thrilling hours,” according to The DEC. Participants will have the chance to meet with experienced mentors, investors, co-founders, and sponsors to “learn how to get more done faster and even kickstart their own business.”

This year’s theme for Startup Weekend is Emerging Tech for Diverse Entrepreneurs. The DEC says it’s a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to explore how emerging technologies can be harnessed to create businesses that serve diverse communities. Whether you’re an experienced entrepreneur or just starting out, the nonprofit organization said, Techstars Startup Weekend is an excellent chance to develop new skills, network with others in the North Texas startup community, and gain insights into building a successful business.

Learn, connect, and grow

The weekend program, sponsored by IOOGO, begins on Friday, April 21, at 5:00 pm with a keynote speech, team formations, and other events. On Saturday, April 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., attendees can participate in “Ask the Mentors” sessions, The Future of Venture in Tech Panel powered by the North Texas Angel Network, and collaborative teamwork time. Wrapping up the weekend, Sunday morning from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. features the Emerging Founder Teams and Established Founder Teams Pitch Competitions will take place.

Attendance for the full three-day program is mandatory to participate in Techstars Startup Weekend, according to The DEC.
