Falkon Technologies to Double Team, Expand Footprint With a Grant from the McKinney Innovation Fund

With the funding, Falkon also wants to build out its new transportation and logistics startup, Load Right, which aims to use technology to assist warehouses in managing and tracking single and multi-stop loads.

Yet another tech startup has gotten a boost from the McKinney Economic Development Corporation’s Innovation Fund. Falkon Technologies, a custom software development company, is the latest to receive a grant from the MEDC and expand its headquarters in McKinney.

With the new capital, Falkon plans to add 3,000 square feet to its headquarters at 2150 S. Central Expressway and double its team with new high-tech jobs over the next three years. The 20 new jobs will mostly consist of software development positions, with some at the executive level. The average salary is $85,000, according to a news release.

Falkon also wants to build out its new transportation and logistics startup entity, Load Right, which aims to use technology to assist warehouses in managing and tracking single and multi-stop loads.

“McKinney has been a great place for us to grow our business since we moved here in 2019,” CEO Riley Fowle said in a statement. “Now to be expanding our team to build out our new entity is exactly what we’ve wanted to do, and we look forward to scaling the business and continuing to bring tech jobs to McKinney.”

Founded in 1998, Falkon Technologies offers a full suite of technology solutions, from front-end creative web development to back-end custom application, database development, and infrastructure support services. Its team is made up of experienced technologists, all who have expertise in building web apps, mobile apps, and custom API’s for B2B integrations.

To date, the consulting firm has completed more than 3,000 projects for 250 clients, as well as written some 3.8 million lines of code. Its customers include small to medium businesses and several Fortune 500 companies.

“Falkon has an incredible track record & clientele, and we’re happy to help them scale in McKinney,” Danny Chavez, SVP of the McKinney Economic Development Corporation, said in a statement. “It’s been incredible to see the positive response to the Innovation Fund throughout the pandemic and that continuing as things are starting to open up again. These are exciting indicators for our team’s goals and working with companies like Falkon that demonstrate that there is excellent, existing tech talent here in McKinney is complete alignment.”
