The newly rebranded DEC Network at Fort Worth, formerly Create Fort Worth, occupies space at 600 Bryan Ave., Suite 220. The changes follow the 2024 debut of The DEC Network’s South Dallas location. The new space is just a few blocks from the organization’s previous Fort Worth center, which opened in 2023.

The biggest change at the Bryan Avenue space will be the rollout of Spanish-language programs.

“By offering programming in Spanish, the center ensures language barriers do not obstruct the critical education, resources and networks local entrepreneurs need to thrive,” a DEC spokesperson told Dallas Innovates.

The location still provides coworking, networking, mentoring, business education and financial education opportunities.

The rebranding and Spanish-language programming build on an existing partnership between DEC and Charles Schwab Bank, a subsidiary of Charles Schwab. Under that partnership, the South Dallas location adopted a new name last year: The DEC Network Powered by Charles Schwab Bank.

“Small businesses create jobs, strengthen local economies and help communities thrive,” Tyler Woulfe, chief banking officer at Charles Schwab Bank, said in a statement.

“As Schwab continues to grow its presence in North Texas,” he said, “we’re proud to support Fort Worth entrepreneurs whose small businesses fuel innovation, create opportunity and strengthen the long-term economic vitality of the community we call home.”

Equipping entrepreneurs with resources

Since partnering with Charles Schwab Bank last year, The DEC Network has helped launch more than 5,000 businesses, create or retain more than 1,700 jobs and connect startups with more than $3.4 million in capital.

“Entrepreneurs are powerful drivers of economic growth and community vitality,” Bill Chinn, CEO of The DEC Network, said in a statement. “By expanding our partnership with Charles Schwab Bank, we are equipping more entrepreneurs with the resources they need to build successful businesses and strengthen the long-term economic health of North Texas.”

Chinn said DEC’s and Charles Schwab Bank’s support is especially important in ZIP codes where access to entrepreneurship resources and jobs “can have a transformative impact on individuals, families, and entire communities.”

Stepping up in DFW

Charles Schwab moved its headquarters from San Francisco to Westlake in 2021. Since then, Charles Schwab has supported close to 7,000 small businesses across North Texas and has earmarked more than $1 billion locally for community development investments, loans and grants. Last year, the company awarded more than $5 million in grants to 350 local nonprofits.
